Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information the Chloris app ("Chloris", "we", "us") collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We aim to collect only what the app needs to work and to keep your plant data safe.
Information you provide
- Account & sign-in. When you create an account we receive basic identifiers such as your email address and, if you use Sign in with Apple, the identifier Apple shares with us. You may also set a display name and profile avatar.
- Plant data. Details you add about your plants — names, nicknames, rooms, watering schedules, notes, and care history.
- Photos. Images you upload as plant cover photos or for plant scans. These are used to display your plants and to run diagnosis.
- Diagnosis & scan data. Results and history from plant scans and health diagnoses you run in the app.
- Support messages. If you email us for support or feedback, we receive your message and contact details so we can reply.
Information collected automatically
- Subscription status. Whether you have an active Chloris Premium subscription or free trial. Payments are processed by Apple; we do not receive your full payment card details.
- Basic app/device info. Limited technical information (such as platform and app version) that helps us diagnose problems and keep the app working.
How we use your information
- To provide core features — storing your plants, photos, watering schedules, and diagnosis history.
- To run plant scans and generate diagnosis results.
- To manage your account and subscription status.
- To respond to support requests and feedback.
- To keep the app secure and fix issues.
How your data is stored
Chloris uses Supabase as its cloud backend for account, database, and file storage. Your plant data and uploaded photos are stored on this hosted infrastructure so they can sync to your account. Access is restricted to your authenticated account.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers needed to run Chloris (for example, our cloud host and Apple for sign-in and payments), or where required by law.
Account deletion
You can delete your Chloris account from within the app. When you delete your account, we remove your account and associated data, including your plants and uploaded photos, from our systems. Some records may be retained briefly where required for legal or security reasons.
Your choices
- You can edit or remove plant data and photos in the app.
- You can delete your account at any time.
- You can contact us with any privacy questions.
Children
Chloris is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date.
